Why THiS Matters

Places that have emotional history are the best places to convene multiple generations for meaningful connections.

The Northside Library is not only historic, it was built for people to gather. This beautiful building is centrally located: across the street from Northside Elementary School and one block from the WAFER Food Pantry. Within 1/2 of a mile is the Boys & Girls Club, Logan High School, Logan Middle School, and the Hunger Task Force.

It is already a place where seniors are accustomed to gathering.

A New Model for Public-Private Partnerships

As municipal budgets tighten, we believe that when faced with closing public assets, we believe we can work together to create a location people can continue to gather and find connection for all of La Crosse.
